An Inspirational motivation

Recently, we were asked to come together as the whole of QE robotics and give a speech to a group of new VEX teams about how we work and go about problem we face. So here it goes!!

1. We enjoy Vex because it is a great way of getting a horde of experiences outside routine schoolwork in the form of robotics. Whether someone in our team is a builder, programmer or researcher, we always work together to the best of our abilities to create a robot which represents our full potential as a team. It also enables us to acquire different experiences as a team which we think will be very beneficial in our future life

2. We work well as a team because we help each other out all the time. When someone is our team is facing difficulty, we always stand by them and help them in every way possible. We build on our friendships and overcome hurdles as a team. We share the spirit and atmosphere of teamwork and enjoyment when doing VEX as a team. We have had our fair share of troubles and arguments within the team but they have only worked to make our team stronger with time. We hope to continue creating a wonderful atmosphere of teamwork as we go along the road for VEX.

3. We love to participate in competitions because there we get to put our robot to the test in the real world against other Vex teams. That is what enables us to improve our robot continuously with time and experience. We consider awards and rankings as indicators of how we are doing as a VEX team with our robot and use it to make our robot better. But it is the experience that we gain from attending these competitions that really matter. We pick ideas that suit our robot better and improve on areas of the robot that did not do so well. We keep improving the robot secure in the knowledge that one day we will be proud of the hard work that we have put into making the robot better. We get to learn from flaws and successes of other teams which also helps us to do our best to create the robot.

You should do VEX as well because Vex will enable you to gain a huge wealth of experience outside daily routine work in life. VEX also enables you to widen your social circle, get new friends and try out new things. Once you have enrolled in VEX, why not come and check our our team?
